Daniel Busenius is a passionate drummer, musician and songwriter from Germany, located in Spain.
He received extensive training in classical guitar and piano at the state music school until he got in touch with drums and subsequently played in various Rock and Pop and Metal bands for many years, thus finding his musical path.
My story
My musical journey began at the age of five at the local music school.
After years of classical guitar and piano, I discovered the world of rhythm and found my true calling.
My understanding of rhythm and working as a drummer started with Hip Hop in 1997.
I began to develop my passion for drums, good drum sound and started playing in several bands.
After years in rock and cover bands, I realized that genres like metalcore, death and black metal, power metal, and progressive rock suited my sense of groove.
My classical music training significantly influenced my fundamental understanding of rock and metal production.
Playing drums means a lifetime of learning and embarking on a musical journey that never ends.
Understanding the entire composition and production process of all instruments is key to good music.
After years of playing drums, you're constantly enriched, yet it still feels like you're only scratching the surface.
For me, musical collaboration with musicians who love what they do is the greatest joy.
Many top-notch drummers and bands have inspired me for many years and have had a significant influence on my own musical development.
There's nothing I enjoy more than the collaborative conception of a music production.

I get great pleasure from meeting new people and making good music together.

Musical Influences
My musical influences are diverse and have not only shaped my development as a drummer, but also my entire perspective as a musician from classical music to Jazz, Metal or Progressive Rock.
As we all know, there are far too many good musicians to list them all here. When it comes to drummers, besides technical perfection, I've often been inspired above all by their musical dedication and the joy they bring to playing.
Besides all the technique drummers can apply on the drumkit, joy and creativity are the most important and enriching parts of making music together.
